Hi there. I'm new to the forum and im my poking around here I read something I would like to know more about. I have been shooting CDP for quite some time (never shot anything else realy) and have...

Dave, Since many matches are simply 2 rounds per target with 6 to 9 targets. Loading 10 rounds total would put the shooter at slide-lock after 5 targets. If loading 11 rounds total it puts the shooter...

Thanks Ken. As I've been digging through more old posts I am gathering that most of the discussion is based around situations being planned for. Not exactly "practical" thinking in my book. If you...

I run 10 round magazines in my 9mm 1911 in ESP, and for every case of 9+1 giving an advantage I can give you an example of 10+1 paying off. Whether it's a couple of extra rounds for makeups on steel...

I agree that 9+1 is an advantage only if your CoF writer is hung up on double taps. I have a SA that has been fully reliable only with SA "front ramp" 9 shot magazines and while I like the way it...

I'm working with the folks at MetalForm on another project, When I stop there this week I'll ask about the possibility of 10 round front ramp style mags.

I shot a season loaded 9+1 in ESP, and think it's generally an advantage. There are all sorts of scenarios in which an additional round, or six or eight additional rounds would be advantageous, but...

Well, Friday I shot the Summer Sizzler in Tennessee at 9+1. In no case was that an advantage and once I got a little wild and had to make an extra reload that would not have been necessary at 10+1. It...

A good shooter/trickster can slip in the miss/bad shot a little earlier. I've been taught how in a class. Koski
